Grooming ~ Dog Walking ~ Pet Sitting

                Smiling Blue Skies Cancer Fund

I have been so very blessed in my life with many, many gifts.  When starting my own business, I searched different web sites in regards to ways I could possibly make a difference in another's life.  I came across a site, Smiling Blue Skies Cancer Fund.  Upon reading the founder's story, I knew I was sent to this site for a reason.  I urge anyone viewing my site to click on the link,

http://www.smilingblueskies.com

Reading their story will, no doubt, touch your heart, as it did mine.  It brought back many, many memories of my heart-dog, Blaze, a beautiful Siberian Husky, who left my world at the tender age of 10.  One morning he was all over me, and 12 hours later, I cried over his death.  While his departure was quick, it was so unexpected.  I had so many plans still in my mind.  But that's what this disease will do and anything I can do to help find a cure seems like a small price to pay.

As of October 1, 2009, any and all tips from grooming, dog walking, and sitting will be pooled and donated to the Smiling Blue Skies Cancer Fund.  Together, we can make a difference in the future lives of our Fur-kids.

I urge you to visit their site http://www.smilingblueskies.com/, read their stories, view their pictures, and help where you can!  We all thank you!

                                     First Aid Update

What a terrific course!  In one and a half days, we covered every imaginable scenerio and spent a good portion of the course "experimenting" on live subjects - bless those 4-legged subjects who endured our imaginative first-aid solutions!  I'm proud to admit I passed with a 100% grade on the final exam...ok, it was open-book but knowing where to find the answer was a skill unto itself!  I'm putting the link here, again, as I was so! impressed with the level of professionalism in this particular course.  I highly recommend EVERY pet owner to take advantage of this course!

For the safety of your beloved pet, call them, book your space as soon as you can.   Your pet will thank you!

                            Pet First Aid

In-keeping with offering my clients with the best care possible, I will be updating my Pet First Aid on August 28th, of 2009.  While I hope I never have to use the training I will receive, you can be assured that your fur-kids will be in good hands should something happen.  The clinic is run by Walks N Wags and you can follow their link ( http://www.walksnwags.com/firstaid.htm ) to see what we'll be learning/practicing.

                                          Almost there!

The paint is going on, the lights are being installed - we're almost there!  Excitement is mounting as the completion of the grooming shop nears!

                          Construction is Underway!

The grooming course is done and I'm very proud to say that I passed with Honors!  We are very busy right now designing and building my shop.  It won't be long now until opening day!

Grooming!  Yes, you read that right!

I am currently studying under International Gold Medalist and Master Certified Groomer, Barbara Hodgkinson, of B-Pro Dog Grooming Academy (please see link below). This is a nine-month long course which I hope to complete in June of 2009.  Upon graduation, I am looking forward to adding this service to our wonderful list of personalized pet-services already offered.  please note:  until June 2009, all current Paws to Claws services are limited to Sunday thru Wednesday.  I thank you for your understanding and appreciate your loyalty while I study to provide you and your pets with the best possible care in all aspects of their lives.
